Flash Labrador Retriever Adult Female in Mountain View, Missouri

My story
Flash is a black lab, around 2 years old (more or less.)  She was found as a stray here in rural Missouri, and nobody claimed her so she was brought here to Thistle Hill. On her vet intake exam, Flash came up heartworm positive and she started her treatment.  3 weeks later she produced a litter of puppies.  By the time the pups were weaned she was about halfway through her treatment, but then an upper respiratory infection hit the kennel, and that set her treatment back for another month.  She has finally (!!!!) finished her heartworm treatment, been spayed, and is ready for adoption. She is a friendly girl who gets along fairly well with other large dogs, although she can be somewhat food possessive with them.  She wants to chase the cats, so a cat-free home would be best.  She is a big girl - 74 pounds - and has had no real training, so she might knock very small children over just by wagging her tail.  The ideal home for Flash would be with adults and older kids, where she has room to run and someone to play with. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and is currently on heartworm preventive (Heartgard Plus.)  She needs to be on heartworm preventive regularly for the rest of her life. Her adoption fee is $250.00
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Flash, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
